Preparing Your Roof for a Storm

Be prepared to have contractors knocking at your door following a big storm. Make sure that these people are licensed. Florida law requires the license number to be visibly displayed on the work truck.

There will be many unreliable resources out there, so ask questions about the time it will take to see a representative and have the repairs complete. A reputable company will be able to be at your house the same day you call. Make sure the contractor you work with has good relationships with manufacturers and distributors so that you can get materials quickly. After a storm, materials run low, so you’ll need those relationships to make the work happen fast.
